The Government Relations Commission takes the lead for DelARF and its members in linking with different government entities because government is involved in most of what we do. The GRC focuses on policy development and legislations. The GRC has four primary goals:
- Evaluate current public policy and promote change where needed.
- Develop DelARF's legislative agenda in conjunction with the annual legislative cycle, which includes supporting bills important to DelARF or helping to develop bills on specific issues.
- Inform members about State Budget issues and help them prepare to participate in the State Budget Hearings each fall and in the Joint Finance Committee Hearings each spring.
- Sponsor events enabling members, legislators and government managers to educate each other on critical issues and to work together in solving public problems.
